Hello! I'm Christy Sanborn and I'm so glad you're here.
My mission is to lead by example, demonstrating what's possible for others in their lives. I am committed to daily service, perpetual growth, and the belief that personal improvement in any aspect — be it emotional, spiritual, mental, or physical — benefits all people and those around them.
For me, that meant having a glass-half-full outlook on life. It meant never settling for unfulfilling connections. I learned to appreciate my own company and make better choices. And most importantly, I committed to always doing the work.
But this wasn't always me.
My life's journey is what fueled my passion for helping others.
Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, my home life was fraught with challenges. My dad's agoraphobia and my mom's undiagnosed mood disorder created a turbulent environment, so our grandparents' home became a sanctuary, where I learned valuable lessons about healthy relationships. I grew to understand love there.
At 17, I struck out on my own, working various jobs and cherishing meaningful conversations. By the age of 25, I found myself married and raising a daughter, navigating the complexities of young motherhood. When my first marriage ended, I balanced a full-time job as a barber with my responsibilities as a single mother. This experience cultivated my resilience.
In my early 30s I met a wonderful man and everything changed. Our love has grown over the years as we grew our family and into ourselves. Then the challenges returned. A genetic test revealed my high risk for breast and ovarian cancer due to the BRCA 1 gene. The fear I confronted during this time helped me become even stronger, and today, I am in perfect health. Inspired by my journey, I established Thrive Coaching, where I'm dedicated to helping others transform their physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial lives.
Recently embarking on a sobriety journey has changed my life. What matters most to me is how I show up in the world, especially for my kids and husband. After years of casual drinking, I decided to stop to be more present and set a better example. I quit at 46 and have been sober for 15 months. My only regret is not stopping sooner.
I'm here to pass on what I've learned and help others thrive in every aspect of their lives.
